After weeks of war of words with the man who helped him return to the White House, billionaire Elon Musk decides to challenge Trump in a different way.

He has announced the creation of a new political party, which would rival the Republican and Democratic parties in the two-party system of the United States. In the “X” platform, he announced that he had founded the “American Party,” although it is not yet clear whether it has been formally registered with the United States election authorities.

Musk, who was born outside the US and is therefore not allowed to run for president, has not yet revealed who he will lead. The billionaire first spoke about the possibility of a new party during his public spat with Trump, which resulted in his premature departure from his role as head of the DOGE department in the US administration and the exchange of insults and harsh words with his once closest ally.

During the feud, Musk posted a poll on “X” asking citizens to vote on whether America should have a new party. Referring to the poll in his post on Saturday, Musk wrote: “You want a new political party and you will have it. We live in a one-party system and not a democracy. Today, the American Party was formed to give you back your freedom.”

However, the Federal Election Commission has not yet released any formal party registration documents. Trump's fallout with Musk began over what Trump calls "a big, beautiful bill," which the billionaire says will add $3 trillion to the US debt.    (A2 Televizion)
