A gunman was shot by US Secret Service agents outside the White House on Sunday morning, the agency announced shortly after the incident.
President Donald Trump was not at the White House Sunday morning. According to Secret Service Communications Director Anthony Guglielmi, they were notified of a suspicious person traveling to Washington from Indiana.
Guglielmi said in a statement that Secret Service members saw a person matching the description near the White House and found his car parked.
“When officers approached him, he pulled out a gun and started shooting, during which he was shot by our officers,” Guglielmi said. The attacker was immediately taken to the hospital, where he is in stable condition. (A2 Televizion)
