Unlike what happened in the presidential campaign, Donald Trump and Barack Obama seem to have marked their differences and who have melted, as the two were seen smiling widely as they exchanged words at the funeral of the late former President, Jimmy Carter.
The president-elect and Obama were seen exchanging a few jokes at Carter's funeral before the ceremony began. The 44th and 45th presidents were seen laughing in the second row at the National Cathedral in Washington DC behind an icy Jill Biden and Kamala Harris.
Trump, with wife Melania seated to his left, was seen turning his head to say something to his predecessor. Obama was seen laughing several times as he ducked his head to hear what Trump was saying.
Although Obama did not shake hands with Trump or Melania, despite shaking hands with other presidents, his cordial relationship with the new American President left many followers shocked.
Relations between the two former presidents have been strained in recent years, with Obama recently joking about Trump's "obsession with crowd size" at the Democratic National Convention.
Trump was always a big critic of Obama, repeatedly raising the birthplace argument to claim that he could not be the president of the US because he was born in Kenya. (A2 Televizion)
