A powerful explosion was recorded in the early hours of the morning at an Eni oil refinery in Calenzano, Florence.
The cloud of smoke has engulfed the area and can be seen in several municipalities near it.
The fire brigade and the police are at the scene, as there are reports of injuries from the explosion, without giving further details.
