About 52% of Ukrainians trust President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a drop of 12 points from the start of 2024, according to a new poll.
The survey, conducted from December 2 to 17 by the International Institute of Sociology in Kyiv, comes as Russia's full-scale occupation of Ukraine approaches its third anniversary.
The poll shows that Zelenskyy is viewed better in the western (60%) and central (52%) regions of the country, and less so in the southern (46%) and eastern (42%) regions, which have been most affected by the Russia War. .
The survey results were based on telephone interviews with 2,000 respondents residing in territories controlled by Ukraine.
Zelenskyy's position 'more and more fragile'
Earlier, SKY News says it spoke to Robert Clark, a fellow at the American York Institute, who said there are rumors of a split within Zelenskyy's government.
"It has been widely reported over the past two months that his situation in Kiev is increasingly fragile," Mr Clark said.
Publicly, he still has a lot of support among the Ukrainian population. But there are voices around, especially in his government, there is a division, there is a schism.
This war has now dragged on for three years - three painful years for Ukraine," he said, A2 CNN writes. (A2 Televizion)
