A gunman has opened fire outside the CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia. US media reports that Fairfax County police responded to a call from the CIA headquarters after a gunman fired into the air near the intelligence agency's headquarters, "threatening" agents.
The police announced the news in a message published on the 'X' platform, in which they warn residents about the closure of a road to traffic.
The Special Operations Division surrounded the area with military vehicles and fire trucks, also positioning snipers and explosive ordnance disposal teams, as well as drones and helicopters.
The CIA confirmed the presence of a "threat" at the entrance gate, but has not yet provided further details on the incident. (A2 Televizion)
