Jose Angel Canobbio, known by the codename "El Guerito," was the right-hand man of Ivan Archivaldo Guzman, one of the sons of imprisoned cartel leader Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.
Mexican security forces have described this arrest as a significant blow to the Sinaloa cartel, as Canobbio was responsible for Ivan Guzman's security, making him a key person in the criminal group's structures.
