Palestinian sources linked to Hamas report that at least 10 people were killed and 20 others were wounded during Israeli shelling in the Gaza Strip last evening. Among the victims are five journalists of Al-Quds Today TV channel, who lost their lives when their vehicle was hit by an attack near Al-Awda Hospital.
According to local sources, the attacks also caused casualties in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City, where a house was hit hard by the bombings. Five more people, including women and children, lost their lives from this attack, increasing the tragic balance of lost lives. The injured were urgently sent to local hospitals, where some of them are in critical condition.
Israeli authorities have not yet commented on the incident, while tensions in the region remain high. The bombings come at a time when the conflict between Israel and Hamas has seen further escalation, with continuous attacks hitting residential areas, infrastructure and health facilities.
The attack on the journalists has sparked strong international reactions, with various human rights and press freedom organizations condemning actions that compromise the safety of media workers in conflict zones.
This incident is part of an ongoing wave of violence in the Gaza Strip, where the civilian population is facing serious consequences from the escalation of the conflict. Representatives of international organizations have called for an immediate ceasefire and the resumption of negotiations to stop the loss of innocent lives. (A2 Televizion)
