This is the "Avangard" hypersonic missile. Russia has moved the powerful weapon capable of carrying nuclear warheads, placing it on the launch pad in the southern federation in the city of Orenburg. The reason for this development expressed by the Russian Ministry of Defense is this: "The rearmament of the Strategic Missile Forces with a missile system containing a hypersonic unit, planned for 2023, will improve the ability of Russia's strategic nuclear forces to involved in fighting."
According to the Russian military, the Avangard missile is able to travel 27 times faster than sound, in other words it can hit London or other European capitals in about 7 minutes. The hypersonic weapon was first introduced in 2018, while it is reported to have been tested. Russian President Vladimir Putin considered the nuclear-capable Avangard missile capable of hitting enemies as "a meteor, or a fireball."
The head of the Kremlin has often stated that the destructive weapon was built as a response to the United States developing a new generation of weapons. Avangard works like this, after approaching the target, it detaches from the missile that pushes it and maneuvers out of the missile's trajectory at a hypersonic speed of up to 34,000 kilometers per hour.
