Russia has not stopped bombing Ukraine even on the eve of the Christmas celebration, this important holiday for Christians.
Ukrainian media confirm that Russia's missiles and drones have targeted almost all of Ukraine's major cities overnight.
Kiev's air force reported that Russian Tu-95 strategic bombers took off overnight and that a number of Kalibr missiles were launched from the Black Sea.
The eastern city of Kharkiv in particular was targeted by at least seven rocket attacks. The explosions caused fires and at least 2 injured people who were taken to the hospital.
Ukrainian Energy Minister German Galushchenko said that Russia was bombing the country's energy sector
"The enemy is massively attacking the energy sector again. The transmission system operator is taking the necessary measures to limit consumption and minimize negative consequences," Galushchenko wrote on Telegram.
"Putin deliberately chose Christmas for an attack. What could be more inhumane?" President Zelensky wrote about the attacks, thanking the Ukrainian forces for their efforts in defending the country. (A2 Televizion)
