Ukraine raises alarm over possible nuclear incident in Zaporizhia.
Kiev officials accuse the Russian occupiers of failing to manage the occupied plant in the southeast of the country. "Energoatom", the company that manages Ukraine's power plants, says that the Russian invaders are not respecting the technical conditions for the operation of the devices, increasing the risk of a possible disaster with radioactive contamination.
Fighting and bombing have not stopped in that region, which adds to the fear of incidents. The Ukrainian military claims to have made progress in its counteroffensive, successfully carrying out a series of attacks on the Russian-held eastern bank of the Dnipro River near Kherson.
Kiev announces that it has shot down 9 out of 10 kamikaze drones launched to attack the territory. 4 different regions were targeted, in which alarm sirens were heard. Meanwhile, Russia has started using the "Beriev A-50" surveillance and warning aircraft for the first time. This aircraft will be tasked with identifying targets in Ukraine and sending data to the long-range air defense missile system.
