Donald Trump is "losing patience" with Elon Musk, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal, which documents the White House's reaction to the Tesla billionaire's public criticism of the US president's budget bill.
According to the WSJ, both Trump and his administration officials were caught off guard by Musk's recent criticism of the US president's bill, which he described as " outrageous, disgusting and a travesty ."
What is said to have surprised even Trump himself, according to a White House official, was the fact that Elon Musk has been working closely with the US president's staff over the last four months.
Musk seems to be extremely annoyed, according to the American newspaper, by the decision to withdraw Jared Isaacman's candidacy for the position of head of NASA, with this action prompting harsh criticism from the so-called "Mr. X" for the budget bill.
" Musk has complained to associates that while he gave hundreds of millions of dollars in donations to help Trump get elected President, he saw his nominee for NASA not be elected to lead it ," the WSJ reports.
