Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his first comments after meeting with US President Donald Trump, thanked his American counterpart and the Americans several times.
Trump told Zelensky today during the meeting that he should be "grateful" for US support, while Vice President JD Vance accused Volodymyr Zelensky of not saying thank you during the meeting, the BBC reports.
"Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit."
"Thank you @POTUS, Congress and the American people. Ukraine needs a just and lasting peace, and we are working on exactly that," Zelensky wrote on the social network X. (A2 Televizion)
