Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on Western allies to take a clear position on security guarantees, including the possibility of a presence of foreign troops on Ukrainian territory with US support.

His statement came during a virtual meeting organized by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer with European leaders, where the security of Ukraine in the event of a peace agreement with Russia was discussed: “Europe needs its arsenals and the ability to produce the most advanced weapons. It should not take three to five years to produce ammunition when it comes to your defense and security. Please do it as soon as possible. Also, I ask you not to forget to strengthen air defense, both in Ukraine and in your countries in the future.”

Zelensky denied Moscow's claims that Russia had recaptured the Kursk region, stressing that the situation in Pokrovsk, Donetsk has been stabilized by Ukrainian forces: "Putin is lying to everyone about the situation on the ground, especially about what is happening in the Kursk region, where our Ukrainian forces continue their operations. Our troops have also stabilized the situation on the front in the Donetsk region, namely in Pokrovsk. It is a great work of our heroes and a great success, I think."

Meanwhile, Zelensky signed an order on the formation of a delegation tasked with cooperating with international partners on peace efforts, writes A2. Andriy Yermak, the President's chief of staff, has been appointed to head the delegation.  (A2 Televizion)
