Zelensky visits Poland, meets with Prime Minister Donald Tusk! Topics of

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Poland today to meet with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, following a diplomatic breakthrough in a long-standing dispute dating back to World War II.

According to foreign media, despite Warsaw's strong support for Kiev since the beginning of the war with Russia, there is a dispute between the two countries over the Volhynia killings that took place from 1943 to 1945.

Poland says more than 100,000 Poles were killed in massacres by Ukrainian nationalists. Thousands of Ukrainians also died in revenge killings, writes A2 CNN.

Since then, Warsaw has demanded that its specialists have access to the sites where some victims are thought to be buried, so that they can be exhumed and given proper funerals.

On Friday, Tusk welcomed "progress" in the dispute, saying Ukraine had taken a decision to allow the first exhumation of victims.

The Kremlin spokesman said of the decision: "This is the reality of Ukraine, the Kiev regime, where they exhume the remains of war heroes and glorify the Nazis and their lackeys in every possible way."

Poland has pledged more than €3.23 billion (£2.72 billion) to help Ukraine since the outbreak of the war.

Donald Tusk also claimed during his speech that Russia was planning terrorist air attacks against Poland and other countries.

"The latest information may confirm the validity of the fear that Russia was planning acts of terrorism in the air not only against Poland," he said without providing details or evidence, writes A2 CNN.

This statement comes after security officials claimed that the packages that exploded at logistics warehouses in Europe were part of a "test" of a Russian plot to cause explosions on cargo flights.

The explosions occurred at warehouses in Britain, Germany and Poland in July last year. Russia has denied involvement in the events and Tusk did not specifically mention them. (A2 Televizion)
