At least 7 people died and 19 others were injured after an ambulance plane crashed in a busy area of Philadelphia.

On board the plane was a patient, her mother and four crew members. The patient had come from Mexico to be treated for a life-threatening illness and was being transported home.
All 6 people were from Mexico. The plane's final destination was the city of Tijuana in Mexico.
The President of Mexico confirmed their deaths and expressed condolences to the families.
The explosion occurred less than 5 kilometers from the northeast Philadelphia airport, which serves mainly business jets.
