An earthquake was felt in Kosovo, namely in the southeast of the Kaçanik area, as announced by the director of the Seismological Network of Kosovo, Shemsi Mustafa.
According to Mustafa, the earthquake that was registered on Monday at 18:44 had a magnitude of 2.6 Richter.
"Based on the Seismological Network, the Geological Survey of Kosovo - ME and the Euro-Mediterranean Seismic Center, as well as the numerical analysis of the data of the seismic event on 06/01/2025 at 18:44 local time. The territory of Kosovo and North Macedonia (Southeastern area of Kosovo and Northwestern area of MV) was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.6 according to the Richter scale, respectively with intensity IV of the Mercal scale.
