Prime Minister Albin Kurti called on the ambassadors of Kosovo to act more decisively and quickly against the attacks of Serbia, which, as he said, is using propaganda and disinformation as a weapon of foreign policy, with the aim of harming Kosovo.
He made the statements during the 7th edition of the Ambassadors' Conference organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora. According to him, strategic partnership and friendship with the United States of America, the European Union and the United Kingdom should be a priority.
"You must act decisively, clearly and be quick in your reactions. For every lie spread by Serbia or its elements, we must have our truth ready. At this point, you must be both active and proactive and contribute to quick responses that must be provided... Your work is not simply representation but engagement in strengthening our position. Examining the economic interests of security and foreign policy are your primary duty, while democracy, the rule of law, freedom of expression and human rights are the basic principles and values that should serve as a guide for your work, the work of all of us. Kurt said.
According to Kurti, public diplomacy has never been more important than now, as Belgrade, with the help of Russia, is undertaking systematic, hybrid and kinetic attacks against Kosovo, using propaganda and disinformation as weapons.
"With open support from Russia, it has set up a network of false narratives that aim to damage our state and hinder our progress towards European and Euro-Atlantic integrations", emphasized the head of the executive of Kosovo.
Kurti further added that in the battle of false narratives, speed of response and professionalism are the key weapons. (A2 Televizion)
