100 caretaker prosecutors, Kosovo Police and Prosecution plan of measures for

The Kosovo Police has taken measures to conduct the parliamentary elections in a peaceful and safe environment for all citizens. According to the announcement distributed to the media, the plan of measures includes securing voting centers, municipal election councils, the results counting center and central warehouses, as well as taking all procedural measures against anyone who violates the laws.

"Creating a peaceful and safe climate for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and maintaining order, peace and public safety in the country during and after the election process. Securing voting centers, municipal election councils, municipal warehouses, the results counting center and central warehouses. Safe transportation and securing of all sensitive electoral material from all destinations foreseen according to the security plan until the end of the police operation related to the election process. Initiating and prosecuting any criminal offense against the right to vote and taking all procedural/criminal measures against anyone who violates the positive laws of the country that regulate/sanction illegal actions against free and democratic elections in close coordination and cooperation with the State Prosecution Office according to action plans and prior agreements based on the law", announces the Kosovo Police.

Police coordinators have also been appointed with the CEC, and instructions have been given to police officers regarding their legal duties and responsibilities during the election process.  

Meanwhile, around 100 prosecutors and a sufficient number of prosecutorial system personnel have been engaged in these elections, who will remain on duty until the end of the electoral process, in order to proceed with any irregularities that may occur in this year's elections.

"Prosecutors will remain in their offices in cities where basic prosecution offices exist, while in those places where the prosecution does not have a facility, prosecutors will remain in police stations, where in cooperation with Kosovo Police investigators they will be in defense of the free vote of citizens. Meanwhile, the national coordinator for elections, prosecutor Laura Pula, will supervise the entire progress of the implementation of the duties of regional coordinators, engaged prosecutors and the prosecutor on duty at the CEC", announces the Kosovo Prosecution.

The State Prosecutor invites the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, all political entities, institutions or various organizations, to report to the relevant prosecutor's offices any case in which they suspect that the vote is being misused or manipulated in any way and by anyone.
