The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, announced the reaching of the agreement with Turkey for the opening of the ammunition factory, which will produce different calibers of cartridges, according to NATO standards.
"We have just signed a contract with the Turkish state manufacturer "Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi" (MKE), with which we are laying the foundations of our defense industry.
MKE undertakes to put into operation the ammunition factory which will serve for the production of different calibers of ammunition according to NATO standards.
In addition to the production machinery, this contract also includes staff training, maintenance for a certain period of time, as well as equipment for quality testing and calibration systems. With the start of production, the factory will operate as a public enterprise and as a 100% local brand", writes Kurti. (A2 Televizion)
