Incident in Mitrovica, head of Kosovo Police: There was no blood on the Serbian

The General Director of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, at a press conference following the incident that occurred in the north of the country, where police units intervened in the parade of Serbian high school graduates.

Referring to the victim's statements and footage provided by security cameras, Hoxha said that no physical injuries were identified, while the red marks on the student's neck were not caused by any violence.

"The color on the graduate's neck was placed beforehand, and it is color, not blood. Based on his statement, other graduates also had symbols placed beforehand, as is the tradition of graduates from that area," said Hoxha.

He emphasized that the colors on the body were present before the intervention of police officers.

"It is clear that the high school graduate already had marks on his body. The marks existed even before the police officer's intervention," he stated.

According to him, the same student was interviewed in the capacity of the victim, in the presence of his father, and no signs of violence were found during the interview.

"The same high school graduate was interviewed in the capacity of the victim, and it is seen that there is no particular sign of violence, or serious injury, indicating that there was bleeding or serious injury during the police intervention."

"The claims that the high school graduate was bleeding do not hold up. The police have obtained this evidence from the city's cameras, and from the statements given by the person himself," the police director further emphasized. (A2 Televizion)
