The Central Election Commission has approved the general list of polling centers in which the voting process will take place on February 9, 2025 in the Elections for the Assembly of Kosovo.
The CEC announces that according to the Law on General Elections, the conditional voting process has undergone a change.
"Conditional voting is possible again, but this type of voting will not be allowed in every voting center as in past electoral processes. In order to enable conditional voting, the CEC has designated one voting center in each municipality. So, in the entire Republic of Kosovo, there are only 38 voting centers with a total of 56 Polling Stations in which conditional voting is allowed," the announcement states.
In the Kosovo Assembly Elections, according to the CEC, conditional voting is possible for voters in any municipality, as Kosovo is a single electoral zone and ballots with the same content are distributed in each municipality.
"The CEC enables conditional voting for voters who have their name on the voting list, but for objective reasons cannot vote at the designated polling station. The counting of conditional votes takes place at the Counting and Results Center, a few days after election day, after the completion of the prescribed procedures," the announcement states.
