One of the main problems identified by officials responsible for reporting corruption is the challenge to guarantee confidentiality, especially when reporting through official e-mails.
The FOL movement, within the framework of the Anti-Corruption Week, has organized a roundtable discussion on the topic "Signallers from a Practical Perspective". Mejhide Dumolli, Director of the FOL movement, said that the laws on corruption whistleblowers have been violated by state officials.
One of the corruption whistleblowers, Makfirete Dibrani, who had denounced abuses in the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, showed the difficulties she encountered after reporting abuses.
Yll Buleshkaj, the Director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption "said that there is a lack of practical implementation of the whistleblower law" . Gzim Shala from the Kosovo Institute for Justice pointed out that whistleblowers are the best way to fight corruption.
