In honor of the 17th anniversary of Kosovo's independence, the Kosovo Security Force and Police also paraded in the main square of Pristina.

In addition to the lineup of all units responsible for maintaining peace and security, the fleet of vehicles available to the Kosovo army and police was also presented, writes A2.

President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti addressed the soldiers, officers, and thousands of citizens gathered, recalling the people's peaceful and armed resistance for freedom and independence.

"Kosovo is a symbol of dignity and an unparalleled sacrifice for freedom. Anyone who dares to question this reality should listen to the voice of the people of Kosovo today. Kosovo is and remains our eternal homeland," said Osmani.

"As unnatural as it was for Kosovo to remain outside the borders of Albania in 1912 and 1913, it was as natural as the creation of the state of Kosovo in 2008, when independence was declared and its celebration today," Kurti said.

Osmani praised the daily efforts of the Kosovo Police in guarding the state borders, while he said of the KSF that they are guarantors of the sovereignty of the state of Kosovo: "Our army, the dignified heir of the sacrifices of entire succeeding generations and worthy of the KLA, with professionalism, dedication and courage, the KSF has shown that it is the pride of the state and is always ready to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo."

Kurti mentioned the names of all the key figures who have contributed to the freedom and independence of Kosovo, including that of former President Hashim Thaçi: "The Republic of Kosovo is the result of the supreme act of the youngest generation of its people's elected representatives, whose names are read after the signatures signed in the declaration of independence of Kosovo on February 17, 2008 by 109 members of the Assembly as well as by the heads of state at that time, President Fatmir Sejdiu, Speaker of the Parliament Jakup Krasniqi and Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi."

Also present at the parade of the Kosovo army and police were representatives of the Jashari and Rugova families, ambassadors of accredited countries, and former presidents Fatmir Sejdiu and Atifete Jahjaga. (A2 Televizion)
