The heads of state expressed gratitude for his role in the country's path to independence. At this ceremony, Osmani and Kurti laid wreaths in honor of Rugova. The delegation continued its journey to pay homage to the grave of the prominent activist, Adem Demaçi.
The President and Prime Minister praised and commemorated his extraordinary contribution to the freedom and rights of the Albanian people, emphasizing that his sacrifice and dedication will forever remain in the national memory. Earlier, Osmani and Kurti paid tribute at the Monument to the Missing and the Memorial of the Murdered Children.
