Kurti challenges the prosecution, is it becoming a precedent?

While the prosecution was waiting for him to testify in the state reserves case, following the order of the basic court, Prime Minister Albin Kurti chose to attend the inauguration of a kindergarten in Gjilan, where he appeared in a construction uniform. Kurti said he was not fleeing justice and insisted on his request that prosecutors interview him at the Prime Minister's Office.

For its part, the special prosecution reacted with a statement announcing that the person it considered as witness A. K. did not appear to give his testimony, despite the fact that he was obliged to do so by order of the Basic Court. “Even in this case, the special prosecution will act in accordance with the legislation in force,” the statement said. Criminal law expert Arbër Jashari says that from today we have a new legal situation.

According to Jashari, the law is very clear, and does not favor those in power.
