The trilateral alliance in the field of defense and security between Kosovo, Albania and Croatia, which was signed last month in Tirana, is expected to expand soon with new members.
This was hinted at by Kosovo's Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, in an interview for TRT Balkan on the sidelines of the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, Turkey.
Macedonia has announced that another NATO member will join the alliance. According to him, Bulgaria is ready to sign the military agreement, while he did not rule out the possibility that other countries in the region will follow in Sofia's footsteps.
"We have received confirmation from Bulgaria, which has previously held discussions with the Croatian minister about the possibility of joining this trilateral agreement. I fully believe that other countries in the region, especially those that share common values and interests with us, will also join this initiative. Because values alone are not enough - common interests are also needed," the Macedonian declared.
"I want to emphasize once again that the main goal of this agreement is to maintain peace, stability and security," he added. (A2 Televizion)
