The European Union Office marked International NGO Day today, highlighting that over 880 million euros are available for the implementation of Kosovo's reform agenda.
The EU Ambassador to Kosovo, Aivo Orav, emphasized the importance of civil society organizations and the media in strengthening democracy and Kosovo's European integration process.
"The EU has supported a large number of civil society and media organizations over the past two decades. Inevitably, you are also an invaluable partner in Kosovo's EU accession process, not least because you have an extraordinary ability to feel the pulse and needs of society at all times. Kosovo is lucky to have you," he declared.
Orav also expressed awareness of the impact of the suspension of US aid on the NGO sector in Kosovo. (A2 Televizion)
