The US military will continue to play a key role in Kosovo. A NATO official confirms this to KosovaPress, adding that United States officials have made clear their commitment to the North Atlantic Alliance and have confirmed its presence in Europe.
“Our commitment to stability throughout the Western Balkans is unwavering. KFOR continues to implement its mandate, based on Resolution 1244, to contribute to a secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times and in an impartial manner, and in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo, in their respective roles as security responders.
"The United States continues to play a fundamental role within KFOR, through its long-standing contribution, which currently amounts to over 600 troops," the NATO official said. (A2 Televizion)
