CEC decision, 13 out of 50 polling stations in Kosovo are being recounted

At the Counting and Results Center in Pristina, the recount of polling stations is continuing according to the CEC decision of March 10, 2025.

According to data, by the end of Monday, 13 polling stations out of 50 had been recounted, which is the total number of them for which the CEC has made a decision.

The polling stations recounted so far belong to the municipality of Vushtrri, while today the recount of other polling stations will also proceed.

At the meeting held on March 10, the Central Election Commission made two decisions on the recount of 50 polling stations.

Initially, the CEC decided to recount 15 polling stations from various municipalities of Kosovo, in which the voting process took place on February 9, 2025. According to the recommendation presented by the Counting and Results Center, during the receipt of results at this center from the Municipal Counting Centers, a discrepancy was encountered between the number of signatures on the Voter List and the number of ballots inside the ballot boxes of these polling stations.

In addition, the CEC decided to conduct a full recount of ballots for political entities and candidates from 35 polling stations due to discrepancies in the results. These polling stations belong to the municipality of Vushtrri, where voting took place on February 9, 2025.

The recount process is taking place in the presence of accredited observers. (A2 Televizion)
