The first votes from the Diaspora arrived in Kosovo this evening. Official vehicles transporting the voting packages have crossed the Vermica border crossing.
The vehicles carrying the votes have been escorted by the Kosovo Police towards Pristina, towards the headquarters of the Central Election Commission, and will be under surveillance by security cameras.
The CEC in Kosovo has announced that the voting by mail period is continuing for all Kosovo citizens who, when they registered as voters outside Kosovo, chose this voting method.
As explained by CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi, the postal voting process will end on February 8. In total, 104,924 citizens have registered to vote outside Kosovo's borders.
