Naim Murseli admitted to the Police that he ordered the murder of his wife Liridona Murseli. The Kosovar media inform the investigators that Murseli has admitted that he gave the suspect Granit Plava 15,000 euros before the murder and another 15,000 after the crime was committed.
Naim Murseli was arrested the day before, after the burial of his wife, together with another suspect, who confessed to the prosecutors that Murseli paid him to commit the murder.
Late in the evening it was announced that a third person was arrested in connection with the crime. He is Kushtrim Kokalla, a member of the KSF and the grandson of Naim Murseli.
After Naim's arrest, his father, Shaban Murseli, announced that for family reasons, visits to Liridona had been cancelled.
Meanwhile, the police announced that they had raided two locations in Gjakovë, where Musliu was from, and that they had also seized the crime weapon.
After that, the Kosovar media reports that the family members of the victim requested the exhumation of Liridona Murseli from the village of Naim Murseli and the burial in the village of her birth.
Another detail that has been published in the Kosovar media is about a document confirming that Naimi and Liridona had made a joint request for divorce before the Swedish authorities in January 2019.
However, the divorce had not happened, since within the period of six months to one year, of what is called the review period, neither had gone to confirm that they want a divorce.
The District Court of the city of Uddevalla on February 24, 2020 had decided to dismiss the case from further proceedings.
"On January 31, 2019, Liridone Murseli and Naim Murseli submitted a joint declaration of divorce. The District Court decided that the divorce should be preceded by a review period of at least six months and at most one year. In connection with the decision, the district court informed the parties that they could request the separation in writing within the specified period. No application for a divorce decree has reached the district court. The issue of separation has been dropped. The District Court dismisses the case from further proceedings", says the decision seen by Gazeta Express.
The murder of Liridona Murseli took place around 20:20 in the evening of November 29 on the street "Dalip Alshiq", in Pristina.
The event was initially reported as "Robbery with consequences of murder", based on the confession of Naim Murseli. In the testimony given, he stated that 2 masked people had asked for money and while leaving, shot his wife, Liridona Murselin, who died on the spot.
