Not paying for experience, private sector workers lose 50 million euros every

Due to non-payment of work experience by private company owners and some state institutions, Kosovo's private sector workers lose over 50 million euros per year.

This is stated in a press release issued by the Independent Private Sector Union of Kosovo, KosovaPress reports.

"For every private company and state institution that does not pay for work experience, we will notify the Labor Inspectorate. If even after this procedure the companies do not react positively, we will address the Basic Court with the reports of the Labor Inspectorate," the union's response states.

For this initiative, the union has mentioned that they are based on the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, the Labor Law, and the collective agreement, which states that employees are entitled to a work experience bonus of 0.5% of the basic salary for each full year of work experience. /Kosovapress (A2 Televizion)
