Political parties in Kosovo have placed the economic recovery of the country, which is facing unemployment, inflation and the need for more foreign investment, at the center of their campaign. Among the promises are increasing the minimum wage to 500 euros, doubling salaries and pensions.

The President of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Lulzim Rafuna, tells A2 CNN that all projects presented by political parties would be beneficial for the country's economic development if there is a will for implementation by a cabinet of professionals.

Regarding the attraction of foreign investments, Rafuna emphasizes that if economic programs are implemented, they would cause a positive chain effect, which would create a good climate for foreign investments in Kosovo.

However, citizens are skeptical that the government that will emerge from the February 9 elections will fulfill its economic promises. According to them, the priority should be to combat informality in the economy.

Kosovo is also under EU punitive measures and cannot benefit from capital projects from the European Commission. (A2 Televizion)
