The initial hearing in the murder case of Liridona Ademaj has been postponed until Friday because the defense lawyers requested more time because they had not received the materials on time.
Naim Murseli, Granit Plava, Kushtrim Kokalla were brought to court handcuffed, while the fourth defendant Tom Dedaj was also present. Before the start of the session, detailed searches were also carried out on members of Liridona Ademaj's family.
The hearing began with general questions about the accused, while attention was focused on questions about Naim's marital status and Kushtrim's employment.
The hearing could not continue because two defense attorneys requested more time after they had not received the indictment and other case files.
"I don't know the content of the case files, we are not even able to object to those files, we don't know if there are any flaws, if they are legal evidence or not," said Ndrec Dodaj, Kushtrim Kokala's lawyer.
"I have had problems, today I received the indictment, I do not have the other case files," said Agron Kuçi, Tom Dodaj's lawyer.
This reasoning was not well received by the presiding judge, who gave the lawyers until Friday to prepare.
"This is the first and last time that I will postpone the review due to your irresponsibility, for not carrying out your duties, for which you are committed," said Fatime Dërmaku, judge.
The new hearing date, set for January 31, did not please Kushtrim Kokalla's defense attorney, and he was fined for his constant interference.
"The defendant's defense attorney, Kushtrim Kokalla, attorney Ndrec Dodaj, is sentenced to a fine of 500 euros for disturbing public order," said Fatime Dërmaku, judge.
Liridona Ademaj's family members did not speak to the media, while before the hearing they said they expect a fair, expeditious and transparent process. (A2 Televizion)
