A serious incident has shaken the village of Baice in the municipality of Lipjan, where a buried body was found.
Although the official identity has not been confirmed, the victim is suspected to be Enver Bajraktari, a person previously reported missing.
The news was confirmed to the media by the spokesperson for the Pristina region Police, Flora Ahmeti. She announced that the case is being treated as a serious murder and investigations are ongoing.
"Today at around 12:00, in the village of Baice in Lipjan, a dead body (still unidentified) was found buried. Police investigators, in coordination with the prosecution, have initiated procedural actions. The body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for autopsy and identification," said Ahmeti.
According to initial reports, the body was discovered by the victim's family members, who had reported him missing days earlier and had asked for public help in finding him.
Currently, there is no information on the possible motive or any specific suspects, but the police and prosecution are working intensively to fully clarify the circumstances of this shocking event. (A2 Televizion)
