The Kosovo Special Prosecution Office filed an indictment on Thursday against two defendants with the initials B.Sh. and MQ, on suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of espionage.
Defendant MQ was also mentioned on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of "unauthorized ownership, control, or possession of weapons."
The two were first arrested in June last year in the city of Ferizaj, while local media in Kosovo had reported that they were suspected of spying for the Serbian Security and Information Agency (BIA).
The BIA itself reacted by denying any connection with the arrested persons.
The prosecutor in the case has requested from the court that the defendants' detention be extended until the conclusion of the judicial review, and that they be found guilty and sentenced./ REL (A2 Televizion)
