Dozens of people participated in the protest organized by the family of Agon Zejnullah, the young man who lost his life in the early hours of July 7, after being arrested by Kosovo police.
Protesters are demanding justice for the 27-year-old, while the protest was held near the police station in Lipjan.
Agon's brother, Albani, said they expect a full investigation and transparency, not institutional silence.
After the serious incident in Lipjan, the police commander, Argjend Gashi, resigned, which was accepted by the Director General of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha. This action, which was said to be a moral act, is not enough for civil society, which has reacted and protested since the moment the incident occurred.
Meanwhile, the Basic Court of Pristina, branch in Lipjan, has imposed a one-month detention measure on Sergeant Ibrahim Nela and police officers Albian Retkoceri, Artidon Konxheli, Liridon Rrahmani and Endrit Beqiri.
All five police officers are suspected of manslaughter in the case of Agon Zejnullah in Lipjan, who lost his life during arrest, writes A2.
According to the prosecution's file, the officers were careless at the time of the arrest, with one of them placing his knee on the back, near the deceased's neck. (A2 Televizion)
