Liridona Ademaj's family has welcomed the indictment of their ex-son-in-law Naim Murseli and three others for the murder of their daughter.
Liridona's brother, Leonardi, said they continue to have faith in Kosovo's justice system and demanded the maximum sentence for the accused.
"We welcome the filing of the indictment. On behalf of the family, I thank you all very much, both the prosecution and the investigation. We have believed in justice and continue to believe, what we want is for the court to impose a capital punishment as soon as possible to ease our hearts and those of her children," he said.
Leonardi also confirmed that Liridona's two children, who are under the care of the Swedish state, have now fully understood the truth of the incident.
"We meet with the children, the children have understood everything, their situation is not that good. The state is taking care of them, they know better, because they have psychologists and adequate people, but what we see is that they are very upset," Leonardi added.
Liridona Ademaj was murdered in November 2023 in an event that shocked the entire country as the perpetrator was her husband, Naim Murseli, and the act was committed in a car with both children in it. Protests have also been held in Pristina seeking justice for the deceased 30-year-old. (A2 Televizion)
