Kosovo opposition receives EU draft for Association

The delegation of the European Union has delivered to the opposition parties in Kosovo, a copy of the draft statute of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority, after many rumors that the negotiations in Brussels were kept secret and there was not much transparency about it.

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo confirmed to the local media that it has received the English copy of the draft of the Association, and adds that it will give an opinion about it only after examining it in detail.

The other opposition parties, the Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Democratic League of Kosovo, are reported to have received this draft from the EU delegation, but have not yet officially confirmed it.

The draft statute of the Association was first presented to Prime Minister Albin Kurti during the visit of the European five in Pristina during the month of October, where the EU envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, was also present.
