The next meeting within the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia at the level of chief negotiators, planned for December 17, is not expected to bring any results, only if there is a change of approach from Belgrade.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the majority insist that there can be no normal continuation of dialogue after the attacks in Banjska and Ibër Lepenc and other acts against the state of Kosovo.
Arbresha Kryeziu Hyseni, deputy of LVV, said to A2: "I think it is difficult to simply expect normalization of relations with Serbia so quickly and even more so a few days after the attack in Ibër Lepenc happened. I think there are other, much more important issues that need to be discussed and normalized before we aim for a simple normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia".
The opposition say that this is another meeting where nothing is expected, especially with the parliamentary elections which are close.
Time Kadrija, deputy of AAK, emphasizes: "I don't think that the Government has the courage and willingness to do something in this direction, knowing that we are in the election process and that they will meet to say that they met, they will meet to "we did not agree and maybe to do a little election campaign, to say that we refused".
The Vetëvendosje movement, which has expectations for the new head of the European Union's foreign policy, Kaja Kallas, says that they expect the dialogue to take another turn so that the parties at the table are treated equally.
They remain behind the terms of Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who demands the extradition of Milan Radoicic, the withdrawal of the letter of former Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic, and the signing of the 2023 agreements.
Arbresha Kryeziu Hyseni declares: "What we ask is simply that the parties be treated equally and if there is something that is required of the parties, that both be supervised in the implementation of that request and not just one and not be constantly requested by one party and the other be completely overlooked" .
Clarifications are also sought for the December 17 meeting, which says that the Assembly should be informed about what is being discussed with Serbia on behalf of Kosovo.
"It is good for us to know the agenda of the meeting because we have the right as deputies to know the agenda items that will be discussed in order to have clarity about what is being discussed and not to find out after the end of the negotiations or after the end of a round of talks", said Kadrija.
The next meeting between chief negotiators Besnik Bilsimi and Petar Petkovic has been confirmed by the European Union, but also by the office of the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo. (A2 Televizion)
