"I will come to Kosovo", Vjosa Osmani remembers Pope Francis'

Kosovo's President, Vjosa Osmani, reacted to the news that Pope Francis had passed away. The Head of State of Kosovo recalled the promise the Holy Father made to her during the audience she had with him at the Holy See, writes A2.

"I will come to Kosovo," was Pope Francis' promise during the audience I had with him at the Holy See, showing how much love he had for smaller countries, especially for the humble people of Kosovo. Unfortunately, he was unable to make this visit, because His Holiness, Pope Francis, passed away," Osmani wrote on Facebook.

Vjosa Osmani's full post:

"I will come to Kosovo," was Pope Francis' promise during the audience I had with him at the Holy See, showing how much love he had for smaller countries, especially for the humble people of Kosovo. Unfortunately, he did not manage to make this visit, because His Holiness, Pope Francis, passed away, but he will be remembered as a spiritual leader who, with his humility, wisdom and boundless love, gave the world a rare example of humanity and service. Pope Francis will be remembered as the Pope of peace, of the poor and of interreligious dialogue, a figure who gave strength to the word of compassion and lived his mission with courage and dedication. The people of Kosovo will always be grateful for the warm words and constant care that Pope Francis showed us. He was a voice that gave importance to the suffering of the innocent and hope for a brighter future. On behalf of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, I express my most sincere condolences for this great loss for the Catholic Church and for all humanity. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Catholic faithful throughout the world. May the soul of His Holiness rest in peace! (A2 Televizion)
