The Vetëvendosje Movement celebrated in the early hours of the morning in Pristina, along with its supporters, who were numerous in number and filled Skanderbeg Square.
VV leader Albin Kurti, along with coalition partners and parliamentary candidates, joined supporters on an improvised stage, from where they also delivered short speeches.
After evaluating the electoral process as democratic and peaceful, thanking the authorities for the organization, Kurti, using the same language as in the campaign, harshly addressed his political opponents, PDK and LDK.
"What is known from the preliminary results is that even if you put the LDK and PDK together, they will not be as good as our Vetëvendosje. The other thing that is known from the preliminary results is that the people of Kosovo on February 9, 2025, will also have defeated Serbia," he said.
According to him, the opposition has collaborated with oligarchs in an attempt to obstruct the government, but has failed to gain the trust of citizens.
"The electoral process was democratic, without incidents. I thank the police and the responsible institutions for their commitment. This is what happens when we are the government, elections are held freely and fairly. Never has there been more war against a government than against ours. With oligarchs who give money without accounting and with the opposition that makes deals even with the devil against us. But they have lost again and will remain the opposition, because they do not want the best for either the state or the people," Kurti declared.
Kurti did not spare insults towards rival political forces, calling them "animals".
"You have seen what lies they have made in their promises. They said the state budget would be bigger than the gross domestic product. What animals! Or they made promises for a coefficient higher than their program. What animals! But the time for animals is over. They all found out tonight. They have only deceived themselves," Kurti said.
