The meeting of the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, with representatives of political parties that have secured mandates for the ninth legislature has begun.
This meeting will serve as preparation for the first constitutive session that has been called by President Vjosa Osmani for Tuesday, April 15, writes A2.
In the same session, the deputies are expected to be sworn in and the new Speaker of the Assembly and the Deputy Speakers are elected so that the session is considered constituted. The position of Speaker of the Assembly belongs exclusively to the largest parliamentary group, which in this case is the Vetevendosje Movement. The opposition has given signals that they will support any Vetevendosje proposal for Speaker of Parliament, since only in this way will the legal deadlines for voting on the Kosovo Government begin to run.
At the meeting with Konjufca, the Vetëvendosje Movement is represented by the acting Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, PDK by Deputy Chairman Uran Ismaili, LDK by Deputy Chairman Doarsa Kica Xhelili, AAK by the party's Secretary General Muharrem Nitaj.
