The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, addressed a message to citizens on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the country's Independence.
In his speech to the governing cabinet, Kurti said that as Kosovo celebrates, it should proudly remember the long journey towards freedom and independence.
"Our constitution is indeed new, but our culture is that of an ancient and indigenous people deeply rooted in our glorious history. Today we honor all those who sacrificed and were sacrificed for our freedom," Kurti said.
Prime Minister Kurti further emphasized that Kosovo's success is evidence of unstoppable work in accordance with the legacy and ideals of the nation's martyrs and in accordance with the rights of the people, the desires of youth and the dreams of children.
