European Commission spokesperson Anita Hipper confirmed today that the process of selecting the new EU special envoy for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is underway, but did not comment on other details regarding this process.
"Special Envoy Lajcak's mandate remains in force until the end of January. The process of selecting his successor is ongoing and we will provide additional comments in due course," Hipper said.
The spokesperson responded in this way to the journalists' question, asking if she could confirm why the head of European diplomacy has chosen Danish diplomat Peter Sorensen as the new special envoy for the dialogue. (A2 Televizion)
