The father of former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi is ill and is in hospital in serious condition.
Meanwhile, the former President, who is in detention, has been denied a request to visit his father in Pristina.
It was Thaçi's lawyer, Luka Misetic, who announced the news through a post on the social network 'X', writes A2 CNN.
Misetic said that Thaçi's defense has submitted a request for a short visit, but added that it was denied by the Specialist Prosecutor's Office in The Hague.
"My client's father, Hashim Thaçi, is very ill and has returned to the hospital. We had requested that Hashim Thaçi be granted short and supervised release to visit him. The Specialized Prosecutor's Office objected and the judges denied the visit," Misetic wrote, A2 CNN reports.
