Sudan's recognition of Kosovo, Kurti thanks Osmani and the Sudanese

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has reacted to Sudan's recognition of the state of Kosovo. Through a post on social media, the head of the Kosovo government expressed his gratitude to the president of Sudan, as well as to President Vjosa Osmani. This recognition comes a few weeks after Kenya recognized the independent Republic of Kosovo.

"Our state has been given a new recognition of our people, one more friendship. We welcome the recognition from the state of Sudan, which comes a few weeks after that from Kenya."

We hope that the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries will further expand and strengthen.

"Congratulations to the citizens of our Republic and thank you to the President of Sudan for this important decision for the relationship between our two countries, as well as to our President for her commitment and to our friends and partners for their continued support," Kurti wrote, according to A2 CNN.

The news of this new recognition was shared on social media a day ago by the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani.

Sudan has now become the 119th country to recognize Kosovo, after Kenya. The latter's recognition brought strong reactions in Belgrade, with President Vučić calling it a hostile act against Serbia.
