New government in Kosovo, Konjufca: We only do it with non-Serb minorities, the

The Speaker of the Parliament of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, who came in second in the votes from Vetëvendosje in the February 9 elections, spoke in a statement to the Italian newspaper OBCT about the process of creating the new government.

While theories circulating are also about a possible coalition with one of the rivals, such as Fatmir Limaj's Nisma or LDK, Konjufca has said that the government can be achieved by cooperating with non-Serb minorities.

"As you have seen, the 'Kurti 2' government was formed in cooperation with non-Serb minorities. This is our goal because it has had a positive effect in Kosovo, preventing the Serbian List, which operates under the influence of Belgrade, from having decisive power as it had in previous governments," Konjufca told OBCT.

He has also been careful to criticize the opposition, describing their language towards Vetëvendosje and the government as " obstructive stances, aggressive attacks and low blows ."

"If the need arises, we will gather as a leadership and decide on further steps, but so far the opposition parties have maintained an obstructive stance. The attacks on Vetëvendosje have been very aggressive and I think these elections were quite unconventional, with many unfair accusations and low blows. This has left its mark," Konjufca declared.
