The Supreme Court of Kosovo has rejected as unfounded the last two appeals regarding the electoral process, which held "hostage" the certification of the results of the February 9 parliamentary elections.
The two appeals received on March 21, 2025, an appeal from the Vetëvendosje Movement, filed against the ECAP decision, A.nr.641/2025, and an appeal from the PDAK-LPB Coalition, filed against the ECAP decision, A.nr.639/2025, were rejected as unfounded.
"From the above situation with the complaint claims, no evidence casts doubt on the factual situation confirmed as above by the body whose decision is contested, therefore the claims of the complainant in the complaint are assessed as unfounded, regarding the erroneous and incomplete confirmation of the factual situation. From the above points and based on Article 118 paragraph 4 of the Law on General Elections in the Republic of Kosovo, it was decided as in the provision of this judgment," states the ECAP decision, which the Supreme Court left in force by rejecting the request of Vetëvendosje.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court's press release further states that on the 24th, the appeal of the candidate for deputy Petrit Hajdari from the Democratic Party of Kosovo-PDK, filed against the ECAP decision, A.636/2025, was also rejected. (A2 Televizion)
